Patrick Fletcher

Patrick is the Deputy Editor at GCN, joining in June 2023 after holding the same role at Cyclingnews, where he spent the first eight years of his working life. His passion for cycling took root when his dad made him watch the Tour in the late 1990s and was stoked while studying in France and Spain as part of a languages degree. He then completed his NCTJ journalism qualifications, got sent to the Tour de Langkawi on work experience, survived, and never looked back. He has since covered several editions of the Tour de France, World Championships, and interviewed some of cycling’s most prominent figures.
