Daniel Benson

Based in the UK, Daniel plans the global website coverage for GCN and manages the editorial teams in the UK, US and Australia.

Prior to arriving at GCN in 2023, he was the EIC at Cyclingnews between 2008 and 2022. He held the same role at VeloNews in 2022.

Originally from Ireland, he has reported from over a dozen editions of the Tour de France, several world championships across Europe, three editions of the Tour Down Under, the Spring Classics, the London 2012 Olympic Games, and numerous other major cycling events.

Daniel also writes news, features, and race reports from the men's and women's WorldTour.
