George Poole

George is a Politics and International Relations graduate who joined GCN on a 12-month internship in 2021 but stayed for 16 months as they just couldn’t get rid of him. After finishing his final year at the University of Bath, George somehow talked his way into a full-time position and now joins the editorial team in delivering content for the website.

A keen cyclist since he was young and founder of the website, Casquettes and Bidons, as a side-project whilst at university, George's favourite spot in the sport is amongst the hustle and bustle of Paris-Roubaix’s Trouée d'Arenberg. Alongside self-deprecating humour, northern charm and his nonchalant smile, George hopes to bring well-informed and compelling narratives to the editorial team.
